Pat Carey came to Okabe & Haushalter after over 8 years with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. With over 6,500 criminal cases handled, he saw it all. He brought his knowledge of everything prosecution to put forward the best possible defense for the clients of Okabe & Haushalter.
Pat not only has the experience, but Pat also trained Law Enforcement agencies and new prosecutors during his tenure with the D.A.’s Office. Pat Carey is not just a “former prosecutor.” During his time with the District Attorney, he tried 62 jury trials for cases ranging from driving under the influence misdemeanors, to gang crimes, to special circumstance murder cases. Pat has also conducted over 1,600 felony preliminary hearings. Pat also has specialized experienced working with sex crimes, cybercrimes and domestic violence cases, spending a significant portion of his career handling cases for the Victim Impact Program with the District Attorney’s Office prosecuting child pornography cases, internet sex crimes, and other domestic violence and child abuse cases.
